Robert De Niro is attached to star in his first series.
Per Variety, the Oscar winning actor will play a former U.S president in Zero Day for Netflix.
The Heat and Goodfellas actor will snag an executive producer credit alongside Noah Oppenheim, Jonathan Glickman, and Eric Newman, who has an overall deal with the streamer. Newman and Oppenheim created the story with Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Schmidt.
The actor, who most recently appeared in David O.Russell’s Amsterdam, has a number of projects on his dance card – among them, Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, for Apple, and Barry Levinson’s next, Wise Guys.
