The next “Die Hard” film, the widely discussed part-prequel part-sequel that will see Bruce Willis’s ageing John McClane share the screen with a younger incarnation of himself (via flashbacks), has a title.
According to producer Lorenzo diBonaventura (“Jack Ryan”), “McClane” will feature just as much older John as it will his twenty-something self.
“We want you to get invested in John McClane more than ever before”, the veteran producer tells Empire. “I don’t know how you do Die Hard without Bruce – the idea that he’s not very significant in this movie is not accurate at all. We are gonna explore John McClane in his twenties. But just as prominent is the 60-year-old version.”
“Live Free or Die Hard” helmer Len Wiseman returns to direct this sixth instalment in the series.
