FilmBuff announced today the company will release J.C. Khoury’s feature film ”All Relative” theatrically and on VOD.
From writer/director Khoury, Shoot First Entertainment, and Executive Producer Lynn Kressel, the modern twist on romantic comedy will premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival on October 18th, followed by screenings at the Austin Film Festival. FilmBuff will then roll out a 10-city theatrical run with a simultaneous VOD release beginning November 21, 2014.
Written and directed by Khoury, ”All Relative” stars Jonathan Sadowski as Harry, a New Yorker who falls for sunny, effervescent Grace (Sara Paxton). With the help of some dating tips from a seductive divorcée (Connie Nielsen), Harry successfully courts Grace. But when he’s introduced to her parents, a shared secret turns his world into a living nightmare. Forced to survive a weekend riddled with tension and socially awkward moments, the bonds of both couples are tested to their breaking point in this wildly engaging mix of comedy and drama.
”All Relative” is Khoury’s second feature; his debut film The Pill won numerous best film and acting awards on the festival circuit before becoming an indie best seller on iTunes, Hulu, and Netflix.
“All Relative has found the perfect home with FilmBuff. Unlike my characters in All Relative, the folks at FilmBuff are experts at connecting with people in today’s digital world, helping audiences find the best forms of entertainment. I am thrilled to partner with them,” said J.C. Khoury.
“We immediately responded to the film’s strong characters, humor, and heart. We are excited to share Khoury’s voice and honest story,” said FilmBuff’s Head of Content Steve Beckman.
“We are thrilled to be working with J.C. again after releasing his previous film The Pill, which continues to resonate with digital audiences.”
