Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine may have a different look in Deadpool 3

Deadpool 3 will be released Sep 6, 2024.

Yesterday, ‘Deadpool’ himself Ryan Reynolds let slip via video that his social sparring partner Hugh Jackman will be strapping on the pointy claws again to reprise lethal Logan for the next in the Deadpool flicks.

The flick, due 2024, would be the first Deadpool entry in the MCU – now that Fox properties are housed under Disney.

Reynolds and Jackman released a follow-up video today acknowledging Wolverine’s death in 2017’s Logan, suggesting this film will be unconnected. As a consequence, most zipped to the assumption that this version of the popular X-Men character might be a variant or hail from another Earth – much like Patrick Stewart’s alternate take on Professor X from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Insider Daniel Richtman as much as confirmed that assumption, noting that he’s heard Jackman won’t be wearing the dark duds his Wolverine wore in the previous X-Men and Wolverine movies but the yellow suit the character gets about in in comics and the animated series.

Interestingly, a deleted scene from The Wolverine (2013) featured the title character being gifted the yellow suit.
