Jurassic World scribe tapped to pen Pacific Rim 2

“Jurassic World” co-writer Derek Connolly will work on the “Pacific Rim 2” screenplay, reports THR.

Director of the first “Pacific Rim” film Guillermo del Toro will produce the sequel with Thomas Tull, Mary Parent and Jon Jashni.

Steven DeKnight will direct.

Del Toro, Zak Penn and Jon Spaihts have previously worked on drafts of the script.
