In-demand South African actor Sharlto Copley (“The A-Team”, “District 9”, “Elysium”, the upcoming “Old Boy”, “Open Grave”) looks to have snagged himself another plum role.
Deadline has the actor joining Angelina Jolie in live-action ‘Sleeping Beauty’ spin-off, “Maleficent”. Jolie plays the title character, the evil fairy who gave Sleeping Beauty a hard time, and Copley would play King Stefan.
Production designer cum filmmaker Robert Stromberg will direct “Maleficent”.
