Always-entertaining Hugh Grant, who has a won whole new swag of fans from recent turns in films like “The Gentlemen” and “Paddington 2”, has been cast in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” movie prequel “Wonka”.

According to Hollywood Insider Daniel Richtman, the 61-year-old actor will play an Oompa Loompa opposite Timothee Chalamet’s Willy Wonka in the pic.

Paul King is directing from a screenplay he wrote with “Paddington 2” co-writer Simon Farnaby (with prior writers including Simon Rich, Simon Stephenson, Jeff Nathanson, and Steven Levenson).

Grant next appears in Guy Ritchie’s ”Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre”, in cinemas next March.
