Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3) will play comics’ Maxwell Lord in future DC projects.
The role was previously played by Pedro Pascal in the 2020 movie Wonder Woman 1984, and has appeared in countless animated films and series based on the DC Comics’ character, best known for his role in the Superman comics.
Deadline, who had the scoop said they’re not sure if Gunn’s incarnation will physically appear in Gunn’s Superman Legacy but the character will be referenced in the background of the film and other DC projects.
