Doesn’t sound we’ll be seeing John Krasinski as Mr. Fantastic, Reed Richards, again.
The actor, a fan favourite for the Marvel comic book hero, got his chance to wear the blue outfit in the recent Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, albeit briefly, with those fans hoping he’d back in the part for the standalone Fantastic Four movie in 2025.
Not so.
Following comments from Krasinski that his deal was a one-off, and he hasn’t heard anything since, Twitter scooper MyTimetoShineHello reports that actress Eiza González (Hobbs & Shaw, Ambulance), 32, is the frontrunner to play Sue Storm, aka Mrs Fantastic, in the Matt Shakman directed film. If true, seems official casting is inching closer and with those recent comments from Krasinski saying he hasn’t been asked to come back, I think it’s fair to say, the Jack Ryan star isn’t our Reed – his comments did seem genuine.
As for the movie itself, the scooper says that the movie will see the Fantastic Four head to space where they’ll encounter Silver Surfer.
