TV cancellations : American Gigolo, Reboot, Let the Right One In

And there will likely be more over the coming days…

Showtime

Steve Levitan’s Reboot, starring Keegan-Michael Key, Johnny Knoxville and Judy Greer, won’t be getting a second season on Hulu.

The single-camera comedy has been axed but the powers-that-be hope that they might be able to find a new home for the show, which fixed on actors from a 2000s family comedy who reunite for – as the title implies- a ‘reboot’.

Meanwhile, and coinciding with news that Showtime will fold into Paramount+, Paramount brass have canned the Jon Bernthal-starring American Gigolo.

The series, which had been plagued with numerous issues through production, is unlikely to be shopped elsewhere. Bernthal is rumored to be reprising his role as Frank Castle for Disney+’s Daredevil reboot series, so no big loss for the always-employed actor.

The network has also cancelled the small-screen adaptation of Let The Right One In. Producers plan to shop the series elsewhere.
