NEAR DARK
Kathryn Bigelow’s ’80s western/noir/vampire flick is getting the UHD treatment for late 2022. Studio Canal – who have done some really decent 4k releases, like “Total Recall” and “They Live” – are behind it, so we’re anticipating something pretty special.
UNBREAKABLE
That long-rumoured UHD version of M.Night Shyamalan’s hit is said to be tentatively scheduled for a September release.
FAST & FURIOUS 4K COLLECTION
In addition to a standalone 4k release of the latest instalment “F9 : The Fast Saga”, Universal are said to be prepping a UHD set consisting of all 9 movies.
The rumoured release date is October 12.
MAD MAX 2 : THE ROAD WARRIOR
Speaking of hot car flicks, gas-guzzlin’ George Miller classic “The Road Warrior” is – along with the other unreleased-in-4K flicks from the series – rumoured to be hitting local shoes in 4K sometime late 2021. Hopefully it looks as sweet as that “Fury Road” disc!
