Walking Dead alum enters the ‘John Wick Universe’

Len Wiseman-directed spin-off is now underway

Lionsgate has closed a deal for “Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus to star opposite Ana de Armas in Ballerina, the new film set in the John Wick universe.

The film’s production is now underway under the direction of Underworld helmer Len Wiseman, directing from a Shay Hatten-penned screenplay.

The producers are Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski.

Producer Erica Lee said: “We’re huge fans of Norman, and we’re confident that the fans will be just as excited as we are that he’s joining the Wick universe. He’ll make an incredible addition to Ballerina.”

Best known for his role as Daryl Dixon in “The Walking Dead,” Reedus is also set to star in The Bikeriders for New Regency, opposite Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, Tom Hardy, and Michael Shannon.
