Updated! : Affleck is part of the film’s reshoots, it seems. Originally it was Michael Keaton playing Batman in an after-credits scene in the film but now that “The Flash” – a movie that will explain why Keaton is now Batman and Affleck isn’t – has been delayed, and “Aquaman” will release first instead, they needed to swap the Batman actors around for the movie to make sense to viewers.
Some secrets are hard to keep, especially when busses full of tourists make their way through the Warner Bros. lot while while people are working – as Jason Momoa recently discovered.
As revealed on his Instagram, Ben Affleck is a surprise casting for the upcoming “Aquaman 2”, as some lucky visitors got to see on the set at Warner Bros. Rather than try and hide, Momoa, cheekily uploaded a video saying “the secret is out!”.
“Aquaman 2” is set for release March 17th 2023 and also stars Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren, Temuera Morrison and Pilou Asbæk.
