Evan Peters (the X-Men franchise, “American Horror Story”) is rumored to be joining Cillian Murphy and Jared Leto in the sequel to TRON Legacy, which begins shooting in Vancouver in August.
Giant Freakin Robot, who have the scoop, says Peters has a “major” role in the film but as we’re still a couple of months off from the pic lensing – and even then, SAG-AFRTRA strike pending – there’s no word on who he might be playing. Same deal with Leto.
Murphy is rumored to be reprising his TRON Legacy role of Edward Dillinger, Jr in the pic but no word if co-stars stars Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund, or for that matter TRON staples Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner will be joining him.
Joachim Rønning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) is directing the pic, written by It Runs in the Family scribe Jesse Wugutow.
