Each and every year, mainly because we’re in Australia and it’s a delayed broadcast, I say to myself that It’d be great if I could just watch the delayed telecast not knowing who the winners – who would’ve been announced on the radio and the internet, a few hours before – are. You think I can ever do it though? Like a perv hanging outside a ladies bathroom, I can’t help but take a peek, and one peek leads to two, two leads to…wow, he got best picture!?
Very glad I ruined it for myself this year….again. If you haven’t already heard there has been a major upset…."The Aviator" was the fave to take home best picture and best director, but surprisingly, the statuettes went to Steven Brill for best director/film for "Without a Paddle". Wow. Hang On….that was a dream….this is how it really went down….and my god, if it ain’t Clint Eastwood taking that welcome bow…
