A quick glimpse of the Super 8 creature!

Though the marketing men have been intent on keeping the monster cloaked, a new “Super 8” promo – just released today – almost ruins the surprise. The video seems to some kind of guide to the film’s big threat – reminds me a lot of one of those Dharma initiative videos that the “Lost” castaways stumbled upon; funnily enough, J.J Abrams is behind both – and encompasses both verabl and visual detail about the foe.

“Super 8”, which is now screening at cinemas everywhere, has recieved very solid reviews across the board. You can read Brian’s review here, Drew’s review here and Mandi’s review here (I’ll see it when I’m back on my feet).

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
