ABC cancels My Generation

Another pool of water just wooshed into that sinking boat known as free-to-air TV.

Hot on the heels of the “Lone Star” cancellation, comes news that another promising new series, “My Generation” has been given the chop. Like “Lone Star”, “My Generation” lasted all of two episodes.

The show’s demise, like it’s fellow victim, might again fall to the general audience’s lackadaisical enthusiasm for daring, original programming.

I was really rooting for this show – and not simply because one of it’s stars, Keir O’Donnell, is in our new movie “Complacent” – because it seemed to be doing something new.

Alas, nobody likes new… it seems.

We now return you to our regular scheduled programming…. “Beauty and the Geek”.
