Affleck may direct, star in Replay

Ben Affleck passed on directing “Superman”. He also passed on “Tales from the Gangster Squad”. Big projects. Shows how much clout the actor has regained as a consequence of his “Gone Baby Gone” and “The Town” success. Well-deserved.

Affleck is now circling a film called “Replay”, the story of a “43-year old radio journalist who dies, wakes up in his 18-year old body, and gets to relive his life over and over. With his original memory intact, he takes the opportunity to travel down roads he passed up the first time around”, says Deadline.

Affleck would also star in the movie.

The intriguing-sounding flick (guess it’s a bit of a skewed version of “Heaven Can Wait”) is based on a book with the same title.
