Allison Janney to play Chris Colfer’s mother

The superstar that is Allison Janney is back in mum-mode, this time to Glee star Chris Colfer’s character in “Struck by Lightning”.

Colfer has actually written the script for this himself, that features him being killed by lightning and then flashbacks to his life as an editor of a school magazine.  He’s been keeping busy, having also written a TV pilot for Disney called “The Little Leftover Witch”.

According to Variety, Janney (who I’ve been in love with ever since “The West Wing”) will again play a spirited mother, after her roles in “Juno”, “Hairspray” and upcoming “The Help”.

The movie will shoot in the off-season for “Glee”, and is slated for a release in 2012.
