Actor Skyler Gisondo is the top choice to play Jimmy Olsen in James Gunn and DC Studios’ Superman : Legacy, according to oft-reliable online insider Can We Get Some Toast.
Though best known for his work on HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones”, Gisondo is no stranger to comic book movies having co-starred in Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man movies. He also previously worked with “Superman” studio Warner Bros on the reboot of Vacation.
The new film, starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Kal-El and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, will also star Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as the Green Lantern, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.
Production is expected to get underway next January.
