And that’s a wrap on Ghostbusters 3!

Well, it’s as real as it’s gonna get now – “Ghostbusters 3” (or, as it’s temporarily titled “Ghostbusters 2020”) is in the can.

The news that Jason Reitman has wrapped on the highly-anticipated sequel hails from actress Mckenna Grace’s Instagram.

“Captain Marvel” alum Grace appears in the photo alongside co-stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard and Logan Kim. Reitman and his father, producer Ivan Reitman are also there.

The “Ghostbusters” threequel, which will feature the cast of the original 1984 and 1989 films in supporting roles, also stars Paul Rudd, Bokeem Woodbine and Celsete O’Connor.

While Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts are definitely in the film, Sony still hasn’t announced whether or not Bill Murray reprises Peter Venkman in it. However recent set pics taken from the Calgary filming locale suggest Murray has indeed shot a secret return appearance.

The script, penned by the young Reitman, reportedly involves a family moving back home to a small town where they begin to learn more about who they are (it’s rumored the family is related to one of the original Ghostbusters, thus the cameos) and the secrets of the town itself.

“Ghostbusters 3” hits theaters on July 10, 2020.
