Murray back for Ghostbusters, Original trio back for Jurassic

Bill Murray has been spotted near the Calgary set of “Ghostbusters 3” – suggesting, thank goodness, that Peter Venkman has agreed to join the party!

The actor, whose love-loathe relationship with the hit series has created some antsy reluctance to reprise the role in previous films, has been spotted dining with Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver in a hotel. Aykroyd and Weaver are both reprising their roles from the 1984 and 1989 films for the Jason Reitman-directed threequel.

YouTuber 3C Films spotted Murray, even capturing video evidence of his catch-up with former – and possibly, current! – co-stars Aykroyd and Weaver.

In a previous draft of the script,  Murray’s character was a ghost.

The film, which also stars fellow original ‘Ghostbuster’ Ernie Hudson as well as Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon (”The Leftovers”), Finn Wolfhard (”Stranger Things”), and Mckenna Grace (”Captain Marvel”), is due Summer 2020.

Meanwhile, Amblin Entertainment let the Raptor out of the bag this week, confirming that “Jurassic Park” stars Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern will be back for the final chapter in the “Jurassic World” trilogy.

While Goldblum reprised his role from the 1993 film for last year’s “Jurassic World : Fallen Kingdom”, this will be the first time Sam Neill and Laura Dern will have dashed from dinosaurs since “Jurassic Park 3”.

Colin Trevorrow directs the untitled third “Jurassic World”, which will again star Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. It hits theaters 2021.
