Bakula Quantum Leaps into Informant

“Enterprise” star aboard new Matt Damon film

Unless you’re a dunce, you’ll have guessed that the articles below (well, the first four or so) were Ramius’s attempt at an April Fools Day joke. I tell ya, he near had me with the “Once” remake – that I could believe Hollywood remaking. Seems like the kind of slimy thing they’d do. Nice job, pal.

One email was especially hilarious. Having read Ramius’s story on Jason Biggs being chosen to play the new Spider-Man, a sad fan wrote “I’m going to boycott that movie. It’s just going to be Spider-man sticking his Spider-dick in an Apple Pie, for the whole movie!”. Priceless.

Anyway, onto some real news….

Former “Enterprise” captain Scott Bakula has won a plum role – heck, anything that goes theatrical is considered ‘plum’ for Bakula – in the new Steven Soderbergh movie, “The Informant”. The espionage thriller stars Matt Damon.

Bakula, also known for his role on 80s sci-fi serial “Quantum Leap”, will play Brian Shepherd, an FBI agent who exposes an international price-fixing scheme with the help of biochemist Mark Whitacre (Damon), says Variety.

If we were still making April Fools Jokes, I’d add “Dean Stockwell plays a hologram friend of Shepherd’s who gives him inside information on Whitacre”.
