Bardem exits Wall Street 2

According to Forbes.com, Oscar Winner Javier Bardem is no longer attached to co-star in the “Wall Street” sequel.

The actor, about to lens “Eat, Pray, Love” with Julia Roberts, was set to play a Hedge Fund manager in the Oliver Stone-directed follow-up.

Bardem’s publicist tells the magazine that though he “loves Oliver Stone,” Bardem has had “five or six other offers” and had to pass on the project (tentatively titled “Money Never Sleeps”).

“His whole emotionless expression would have fit that role perfectly,” said one trader at a London hedge fund. “Successful traders need a bit of a steely demeanor where nothing shakes you, and he epitomizes that.”
