According to Forbes.com, Oscar Winner Javier Bardem is no longer attached to co-star in the “Wall Street†sequel.
The actor, about to lens “Eat, Pray, Love” with Julia Roberts, was set to play a Hedge Fund manager in the Oliver Stone-directed follow-up.
Bardem’s publicist tells the magazine that though he “loves Oliver Stone,” Bardem has had “five or six other offers†and had to pass on the project (tentatively titled “Money Never Sleepsâ€).
“His whole emotionless expression would have fit that role perfectly,” said one trader at a London hedge fund. “Successful traders need a bit of a steely demeanor where nothing shakes you, and he epitomizes that.”
Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf remain attached
