Basterds Poster Online

Aint it Cool has scored your first look at the teaser poster for Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds” (which I’m guessing Moviehole will probably be sent a copy of in a day or so  – probably Monday – by The Weinstein Company) featuring none-other-than Early Grace accompanied by one mean-ass stance. As the site states, “Basterds” posters will likely be plastered all over Cannes in a couple of weeks due to the fact the WWII actioner is being unspooled there. Head on over to Harry’s House of Hollywood Hits for the full one-sheeter.

Meanwhile, Eli Roth (one of the star’s of “Basterds”) tells MTV that Tarantino asked him to direct a mini film-within-a-film for “Basterds”. “There is this Nazi propaganda movie that is like a film-within-a-film,” the filmmaker-cum-actor tells “And it’s like a whole other movie.”

“The first time we showed it to an audience [the actors] were in character, but the Germans were screaming ‘Heil Hitler!’ and ‘Kill the Jews!’ and it was terrifying,” he remembered. “We watched it over and over, and we were all friends and joking around by the end of it. But there was still something very powerful about that. I looked at Quentin and said, ‘What have I done?’”
