We can now expect to catch “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2” in US cinemas on March 6, 2015.
The original film proved to be a surprised global hit when it grossed $135 million worldwide, prompting Fox Searchlight to make its first sequel ever.
The cast from the original film will return for the sequel. This includes Judi Dench, (Evelyn), Maggie Smith (Muriel), Bill Nighy (Douglas), Dev Patel (Sonny), Celia Imrie (Madge), Ronald Pickup (Norman), Penelope Wilton (Jean), Diana Hardcastle (Carol), Tena Desae (Sunaina) and Lillete Dubey (Mrs. Kapoor). Richard Gere, David Strathairn and Tamsin Greig will join the cast for the second instalment.
Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin, of Blueprint Pictures, will produce while Participant’s Jeff Skoll exec produces.
