Damon talks “Star Trek”
Remember those Matt Damon as Captain Kirk rumours?
Remember how they were quickly dismissed by the Oscar Winning Writer’s peeps?
Consider them squashed, squished and squatted by the man himself.
Damon tells IGN Movies that rumours that he’ll be wearing Starfleet stripes were purely internet rumours. He even went so far as to ask director J.J Abrams what the deal was – Abrams informed Damon that he wouldn’t be the right guy for the role anyway, because the Kirk in this movie is in his early twenties.
“Star Trek”, the prequel, hits theatres in one starbeamed jump around the galaxy – ahem, one year.
