In addition to Jordana Brewster, who is reprising her role as Vin Diesel’s on-screen sib Mia (assumingly without hubby Brian, played by the late Paul Walker – unless his brothers Cody and Caleb are stepping in again?), Universal has added a few names to the “Fast & Furious 9” call sheet.
Finn Cole (“Peaky Blinders”), Anna Sawai (“Ninja Assassin”) and Vinnie Bennett (“Ghost in the Shell”) have been enlisted for the Justin Lin-directed road-buster.
Brewster, along with the child actor who’ll play son ‘baby’ Brian aka Jack, joined Diesel and co-stars Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson on set in London last week to begin shooting her scenes.
The rest of the cast includes Nathalie Emanuel, John Cena, Lex Elle, Enrique Guzman, Kris Mardula, Alexander Wraith and Lucas Black, said to be making an appearance as “Tokyo Drift”, er, drifter Sean Boswell.
“Fast 9” is on track for release on May 22, 2020.
