Pellington to direct MOM
Director Mark Pellington (Arlington Road, The Mothman Prophecies) will direct Roundtable’s MOM. Pic tells of of a single mother embarking on a daring cross-country rescue mission, piecing together clues in the search for her teenage daughter who has fallen victim to the horrors of human trafficking. Casting Director Lisa Zagoria of Best Picture winner CODA is casting this film, based on a script by Brent Jordan.
Mark Pellington states “MOM is a fast-moving story of protection and revenge. The film explores the true price of violence and the cost of justice, when an ordinary mom is pushed to an extraordinary place. This is a muscular, intense dramatic thriller with a commanding lead role that is emotional, relatable, and grounded. Saturn Bowling Trailer
A new trailer for Saturn Bowling, out from Dark Star Pictures on September 29, has been released.Named a top 10 film of the year by the prestigious Cahiers du Cinéma, the serial killer thriller hails from acclaimed auteur filmmaker Patricia Mazuy, her first foray into the horror genre. The film debuted at Locarno IFF before Busan and a US debut at the Lincoln Center.
Mad Max reunion movie
Is a Mad Max 2 reunion on the cards? Vernon Wells is putting together a new science-fiction adventure movie, set to shoot in Australia, titled An Island in the Stars. According to the IndieGoGo (via Filmink) campaign for the film, Well’s Mad Max co-star Mel Gibson is being eyed to star in the film; there’s also artwork on the page featuring a look at the character Gibson would be playing.
