Warner Bros has released the first trailer for Challengers, opening October 5.
From visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino, Challengers stars Zendaya as Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. Married to a champion on a losing streak (Mike Faist – West Side Story), Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against the washed-up Patrick (Josh O’Connor – The Crown) – his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. As their pasts and presents collide, and tensions run high, Tashi must ask herself, what will it cost to win.

The trailer for Slant, a new black comedy thriller starring Sigrid Thornton, has been released.

Best Australian Feature winner at 2022’s Monsterfest, where it had its World Premiere in Melbourne, Slant is an ensemble feature film about career-crazed journalist who is tasked with writing his first exposé piece on the disappearance of a mother-turned-infamous-socialite. But when a dark family secret of his own threatens to destabilise his career, the scribe’s ambition drives  him to get the scoop at all costs, causing is personal and professional lives to violently collide.

The film will be showcased across  the country, with a month of event screenings followed by cast and filmmaker Q&A sessions at locations including The Ritz (Sydney), Melbourne independent theatres the Classic, the Sun and Lido Cinemas, The Regent (Ballarat) and Cameo (Belgrave) as well as Adelaide’s Regal Theatre, The Luna in Perth and Darwin’s Deckchair Cinema. Hulu announced today that Dan Stevens has joined the cast of “Solar Opposites” as the new voice of Korvo. To prepare for the upcoming Solar landing, check out a first look at Dan in the upcoming season and see below for the official announcement. “Solar Opposites” returns to Hulu on Monday, August 14 with eleven episodes.

Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thrillers and the supernatural, released today the trailer for the new survival thriller Quicksand, the English-language Colombian film written by Matt Pitts (Westworld) and directed by Andrés Beltrán (Tarumama). The Shudder Original film will make its exclusive streaming debut Friday, July 14 on Shudder and will also be available to stream on AMC+. 

In Quicksand, an American couple, on the brink of divorce, travel to Colombia for a work conference. While on a hike through the rainforest, a storm causes them to become trapped in a pit of quicksand. Unable to move, it becomes a struggle for survival as they battle the elements of the jungle and a venomous snake, in order to escape. Starring Carolina Gaitàn (Encanto) and Allan Hawco (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan).

 

Paramount+ today released the official trailer and key art for ZOEY 102, the all-new original movie based on characters from the hit live-action Nickelodeon series Zoey 101. In the movie, Pacific Coast Academy alumni return to Malibu for an over-the-top wedding that turns into a high school reunion for the books. ZOEY 102 will be available to stream beginning Thursday, July 27, in the U.S. and Canada, and the following day in the U.K. Additionally, the movie will premiere on Tuesday, August 1, in Australia, on Friday, August 11, in Latin America and Brazil, and on Friday, November 17, in Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Over a decade after the iconic series ended, ZOEY 102 finds Zoey Brooks still trying to figure out life and love, this time in her 20s. Zoey and Chase did not end up in Hawaii that summer and haven’t heard from each other since. When close friends Quinn and Logan announce they’re getting married, Zoey and Chase find themselves in the wedding party.
