Alice Eve is the top contender to play Captain America’s squeeze, E! Online reports today.
Eve (“She’s Out Of My League”) and British actress Hayley Atwell (“The Duchess) have reportedly been slugging it out to cuddle up to Chris Evans’ latex-clad hero (Though Keira Knightley was originally on the producers’ short-list, the actress took herself out of the race earlier this week), with the former slightly ahead in the race at this point.
The ladies are vying for the role of Peggy Carter.
”I’m told both actresses are screen-testing for the second time for the coveted role tomorrow in London”, E’s Marc Malkin reports.
Chris Evans (“Fantastic Four”) and Sebastian Stan (TVs “Gossip Girl”) are already onboard the Joe Johnston-directed Superhero Flick.
