Charlie Sheen in a TV spin-off of Sandler movie!? WTF!

There’s been all sorts of scuttlebut about Charlie Sheen fronting a new TV show next year (now that he’s been given the heave-ho from “Two and-a-Half Men” and with dad Marty likely not opening up his wallet the Sheenster’s going to need to seek out a new revenue stream) but as of now the only thing the wild warrior’s got on the cards is a Celebrity Roast (he’s being roasted), which will air on Comedy Central the same night that Ashton Kutcher makes his debut as Sheen’s replacement on “Two and-a-Half Men”.

Deadline, adding fuel to the likelihood that Sheen will return to full-time TV sooner-or-later, says moviemmaker Joe Roth wants Sheen to star in a TV spin-off of the Jack Nicholson/Adam Sandler movie “Anger Management.

The show isn’t anywhere near a sure thing, but the idea has likely been floated to Sheen – particuarly as Roth and Sheen have worked together in the past (on “The Three Musketeers”, “Major League” and “Young Guns”) and likely have kept in touch over the years.

“Anger Management” (2003) told of businessman, played by Adam Sandler, who is wrongly sentenced to an anger-management program, where he meets an aggressive instructor, played with fiery relish by Jack Nicholson.

Sheen would, one assumes (based on his current persona), play the Nicholson role.

Again, just an idea. No need to set the TiVo yet.
