Sounds like a case of “don’t say anything, and then people will think there’s something in it” to me, but never the less, Indian actress Priyanka Chopra has perfected the retort when asked whether or not there’s any truth to the rumours she’s a frontrunner to play “Wonder Woman” in Joss Whedon/Joel Silver’s upcoming DC to B.O offering.
The actress tells Metro, “Till something happens, I don’t want to talk about it. I’m not confirming the news or denying it right now.”
I don’t believe any actresses – including candidates Morena Baccarin and Jessica Biel – have even met with Whedon, or Warner Bros, about the part yet. They’re not auditioning until next year.
The only person that’s apparently talked to Whedon about it – and even then, it’s not an official chat – is Charisma Carpenter, who has let the writer/director know that she’s interested in the job. That’s it.
