Christina Ricci, Brendan Gleeson and J.B Smoove (from “Curb Your Enthusiasm”) are lending their voices to “The Smurfs 2”.
THR says one-time “Addams Family” star Ricci will be voicing a “new character named Vexy, an evil version of Smurfette”.
The trade adds that “The Cup” star Gleeson ” joins the cast as Patrick Winslow’s stepfather Victor Doyle, while Smoove will voice the new character, Hackus, who is described as “naughty.”
The cast of the first “Smurfs” movie – Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Sofia Vergara, Hank Azaria, Katy Perry, Jonathan Winters, Alan Cumming, Fred Armisen, George Lopez, Anton Yelchin and John Oliver – return for the sequel, which is now filming.
