Comic-Con Rumours : Casting and film announcements tipped to be revealed!

What you MAY see at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con

While we know what to expect as for as panels and screenings at this week’s Comic-Con here in sunny San Diego, it’s anyone’s guess what major film and casting announcements will be made. While Marvel Studios typically make a fat load of announcements during their Saturday afternoon panel, Disney stay mum, keeping their big announcements for their own mouse-sponsored event D23.

While there’s a few things I’ve heard rumblings about, I can’t one-hundred percent say they’re calculator-accurate, as such we’ll give ink only to the scoops of the more oft-reliable online tipsters – some of which are as juicy as a whopper. Check ’em out below…

Here’s what may be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con this week…

BLADE : Marvel will have some stuff to talk about when it comes to their upcoming reboot of the Day Walker film series. An actor that may be announced for the film, on the studio’s panel, is “Banshee” alum Antony Starr. He’s rumoured to be fanging up for Dracula.

FANTASTIC FOUR : It’s believed that Marvel will be officially announcing the film’s director as well as new cast members Jason Segel, Melissa Benoist, Joe Keery, and Jamie Dornan.

SECRET INVASION : While the cast- namely Samuel L.Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, and Emilia Clarke – can’t make it, it’s rumoured that the entire cast will be announced on Saturday.

WORLD WAR HULK : The long-gestating film, based on the celebrated comic book arc, is now a four-part series for Disney+. Or so it’s rumoured.

THE BATMAN 2 : No sequel – said to be based on “No Man’s Land” – is one of WB’s big announcements.

THE MARVELS Will Marvel announce that “Inhumans” alum Anson Mount will reprise his role as Black Bolt? Apparently.

CAPTAIN AMERICA  4 : Various tipsters say the title will be revealed, with star Anthony Mackie in attendance.

DAREDEVIL : MAN WITHOUT FEAR : Marvel will announce that that’s the title of the upcoming Disney+ series which sees Charlie Cox pull on the red tights again. They’ll also announce that Eiza Gonzalez is playing Elektra.

TOP GUN 3 – Paramount might possibly announce the next film in the series. Fitting, considering they wheeled out Tom Cruise and the trailer for “Top Gun : Maverick” last time we were in town.

DEADPOOL 3 : The title will be revealed on Saturday by attendee Ryan Reynolds.

BLACK PANTHER : WAKANDA FOREVER : The cast will be on hand to reveal the first trailer for the film.
