Kevin Costner will direct and star in “A Little War”, playing a Sheriff in World War II, says Variety.
The “Dances with Wolves” and “Postman” director has been trying to get the project up for eons, according to producer, Beacon Pictures head Armyan Bernstein. “This has been a dream project for Kevin and I for years. The themes are timeless – war, peace and reconciliation. The canvas is epic; look at the movies Kevin has directed.”
The film, written by Dan Gordon, tells of local law-enforcer who tries to prevent his township from resorting to violence mid-WWII.
