As if Tom Cruise in a remake of “The Magnificent Seven” wasn’t interesting enough, consider this : Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner may be joining him.
If we can believe the somewhat unreliable British tabloids.
According to The Sun, Cruise has enlisted the fellow A-listers to join him on the recently-announced western.
A source said: “MGM are throwing big money at the film and wanted some top names to fill the main parts.
“You can’t get much bigger than Cruise and Damon.”
Tom will play Yul Brynner’s role as Chris. Morgan Freeman may be villain Calvera, while Kevin Costner could play Britt.
If it’s true, then expect the film to have one of the biggest budgets of all time – – or, at the 11th hour, Mark Ruffalo and a couple of cheap imported actors come in to replace the out-of-price-range others.
