David Fincher TV show shut down!

David Fincher’s HBO comedy series “Videosynchrazy” (formerly known as ‘Living on Video’) has ceased production, says Deadline.

While neither HBO or Fincher’s camp are talking, sources tell the outlet that filming came to a stop around the middle of Episode 4 or 5. Some cast members have been told that the show is dead, but Deadline hears they’re simply taking a filming back – at the request of HBO. Sounds like there might be some retooling, restructuring, or script changes to be made before the show goes back before the Nikon.

Set in 1983 Los Angeles, the 10-episode show “revolves around the players of the then-exploding music video industry — directors, record executives and crew members, many of them dabbling in drugs — through the eyes of a newcomer, Robby (Charlie Rowe). Robby is a wide-eyed guy who drops out of college and drives to Hollywood with dreams of directing a sci-fi epic and lands a job as a PA for a company making music videos.”

Sam Page, Jason Flemyng, Corbin Bernsen, Kerry Condon and Elizabeth Lail were also onboard.

Fincher was directing multiple episodes of the show.
