Demand Paranormal Activity

There are probably less films on my must-see list at the moment than Randy Quaid has misdemeanors. One of the flicks I’d sell my left one (actually, thing I bartered it off for front-row seats to Air Supply, already”- so make it the right one) to bit front and center for is Paramount’s “Paranormal Activity”, a new spookfest that’s made more coin in it’s first week of release than Heidi Fleiss saw in a week (believe me, that’s saying something!).

Made for less than $11,000 by first time director (mid-way thru re-enacting Michael J.Fox starrer “The Secret of My Success” by the sounds) Oren Peli, the flick tells of a young, middle class couple who moves into what seems like a typical suburban “starter” tract house only to discover a disturbing presence already occupies the dwelling. I’d be ‘forced’ to change my underwear, by the sounds. Win for everyone!

The studio held free Midnight screenings of the flick last week at :

Los Angeles (ArcLight Hollywood)

New York (Landmark Sunshine Theater)

San Francisco (The Castro)

Chicago (The Music Box)
