Ellen Page will star with Sam Keeley in thriller “The Third Wave”, with David Freyne making his directorial debut on the project.
Freyne will from his own script which is set in a time after a virus that transformed humans into zombie-like monsters has been cured. Now the cured are haunted by the memories of their actions while infected and, shunned by society and even their families, a social unrest is created that leads to militant government interference.
Producers are Page, Rachael O’Kane and Rory Dungan. Mark Huffam, Aidan Elliott, Mathieu Robinet and David Grumbach will co-produce.
The shoot will kick off in Ireland later this year.
