Lionsgate has renamed its final two “Divergent Series” installments.
Previously known as “The Divergent Series: Allegiant — Part 1” and “The Divergent Series: Allegiant — Part 2”, the films will now be titled “The Divergent Series: Allegiant” and “The Divergent Series: Ascendant”, respectively.
The two films are based on the final book in Veronica Roth’s “Divergent Series” trilogy, titled “Allegiant”, however are also said to build on the story.
“The Divergent Series: Allegiant” will hit cinemas on March 18, 2016, and “The Divergent Series: Ascendant” will follow on March 24, 2017.
