From the director of, er, “Sahara”?
Breck Eisner (‘’Sahara’’) will helm the long-gestating – I assume they put the film version on the back burner once they heard about the TV series (which is now kaput – – and rightfully so! it was dreadful!) – ‘’Flash Gordon’’ flick.
Eisner, who is also adapting remakes of George Romero’s “The Crazies” and “Creature from the Black Lagoon”, will be working under the guidance of Producer Neil Moritz (“Fast and the Furious”).
It’s safe to say Sam Jones and Max Von Sydow won’t be reprising their roles as Flash and Ming the Merciless, respectively, for the reboot. (Maybe Chris Showerman,who was up for Flash in the TV series at one stage, is worth looking into, Breck? I can hook ya up!)
