Greta Gerwig will play the Liza Minelli-role in the Russell Brand-starring remake of “Arthur”, says Deadline.
Gerwig, who recently appeared opposite Ben Stiller in “Greenberg”, will play the blue-collar shoplifter that steals the heart of the biollionaire drunk, Arthur (Brand) in the Jason Winer-directed movie.
Helen Mirren is onboard to play Arthur’s long-time Nanny (Sir John Gielguld played a similiar role in the original 1982 picture).
