Ruairi Robinson’s “The Leviathan” has taken the world by storm.
First, the filmmaker released a spectacular proof-of-concept trailer and then producers Simon Kinberg and Neill Blomkamp boarded the project.
Now Variety reports that Twentieth Century Fox has picked up the sci-fier with Kinberg producing, with Aditya Sood and Robinson, and Blomkamp exec producing.
Robinson will direct from Jim Uhls’ script.
“The project is set in the 22nd century, when mankind has colonized many worlds and traveling faster than the speed of light has been made possible by the harvesting of exotic matter from the eggs of the largest species mankind has ever seen,” reports Variety.
