Game On for Snipes

He may have been doing the work of three men over the past year or two – Larry, Moe and Curly – but the once-great Wesley Snipes might be on his way back…. So long as this thing isn’t as lousy as it sounds.

The tax-evader has been tapped to star in director Abel ‘Bad Lieutenant’ Ferrara’s next film, “Game of Death”. Snipes previously worked with Ferrera on the 1990 crime-classic, “King of New York”.

In the pic, now shooting in Michigan, Snipes stars as a politician’s bodyguard who must fend off five of the world’s top assassins, says Screen Daily.

“We are very excited to begin production on this project,” Voltage Pictures’ Nicolas Chartier said. “It was exciting even at the script stage, but now with Wesley and Abel Ferrara reunited from the first time since their collaboration on legendary cult movie King Of New York, I think we have a very edgy and exciting action film on our hands.”

Zoe Bell (“Whip It”) and Robert Davi (“Die Hard”) co-star.

And if this one doesn’t work out for Wes, he can always begin teaching remedial classes at Cucumber college.

Here’s an interesting tidbit – the movie was originally supposed to film in Italy, but due to Snipes’ untimely run-in with the law this past year, he couldn’t get past the departures gate. They see him as a flight risk.
