George W. Bush Vs Gordon Gecko?

According to the always-reliable Nikki Fenke, Oliver Stone is chasing Josh Brolin for the part of the villain – the hedge-fund manager that ruffles Gordon Gecko’s feathers – in his upcoming “Wall Street” sequel.

Ironically, Brolin’s “No Country for Old Men” co-star, Javier Bardem, was originally in talks to play the part. Bardem ultimately couldn’t accept the part due to other commitments.

According to Finke, Brolin and Stone met earlier this month for dinner – and were overheard chatting about the script (which, by the way, has just been locked) – indicating the actor’s only a signature away from a “W” reunion.

Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf are set for the Allen Loeb-penned sequel.
