If this isn’t evidence that “Ghostbusters 3” has been secretly in the works for some time, I don’t know what is! The upcoming Sony project, with Jason Reitman at the helm, has already had a teaser dropped. So while it doesn’t give much away, it does have a few little teases that “Ghostbusters” fans will potentially wet their pants over – hint, turn up the volume!
You’ll also get a glimpse at the familiar Ecto-1, looking quite rusty indeed.
The date set is 2020, so while that sounds far away, remember it’s only next year!
Per the original Entertainment Weekly exclusive, Reitman previously stated:
“I’ve always thought of myself as the first Ghostbusters fan, when I was a 6-year-old visiting the set. I wanted to make a movie for all the other fans. This is the next chapter in the original franchise. It is not a reboot. What happened in the ‘80s happened in the ‘80s, and this is set in the present day. This is very early, and I want the film to unwrap like a present. We have a lot of wonderful surprises and new characters for the audience to meet”
Colour me excited.
