Guest’s Terrible new role

One of cinema’s most underutilized chameleons, Christopher Guest (“This is Spinal Tap”, “The Princess Bride”), has been rediscovered by Ben Stiller – who’ll [no doubt] be paying him kindly to wear some funky make-up and garb for the “Night at the Museum” sequel.

In “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian”, Guest (better known as the director of such sardonic mockumentaries as “Best in Show” and “A Mighty Wind”) will play Ivan the Terrible, the tyrannous grand Prince of Moscow, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The film, directed by Shawn Levy, reunites lead Ben Stiller with castmates Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais and Owen Wilson. Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon, who penned both “Museum” films, will make a cameo in the sequel.

Also joining the cast are Jon Bernthal (Al Capone), Bill Hader (Gen. George Armstrong Custer) and French actor Alain Chabat (Napoleon).
