Hallelujah, it’s Spider-Man!


Theatre actor Reeve Carney, one of the victims stars of “Spider-Man : Turn Off The Dark”, will play late muso Jeff Buckley in the the third of three biopics currently being prepped in Tinseltown on the singer, says Deadline.

Carney is playing Buckley, who at age 30 drowned when he was caught in the wake of a passing boat, in ”Welcome to the Rileys” helmer Jake Scott’s untitled flick. Filming is going to take place in November.

The other Buckley pics are “Greetings From Tim Buckley”, which stars ”Gossip Girl”’s Penn Badgley as a young Buckley pre-success, and “A Pure Drop” from “Mad Bastards” helmer Brendan Fletcher.
