Sequel to Neil Marshall’s horror hit
Neil Marshall has confirmed that a sequel to his surprisingly effective – but terribly marketed; in some territories – “The Descent” is on the cards. He just won’t be directing it.
I will not be directing The Descent 2,” the filmmaker revealed to Fangoria. “But I will be overseeing every aspect of the production. There’s nothing to oversee yet, though, as the script is currently being written. My Descent editor Jon Harris will make his feature directing debut with the sequel, and I can’t think of a better man for the job.”
No doubt the follow-up will fix on a new group of characters –since everyone from the first film is dead – who go exploring and find themselves sharing their packed lunch with the cave monsters. As you do.
